After seeing Paul Newman's dedication to philanthropy, Graham Rahal decided to begin his own journey giving back to the community surrounding him. In 2009, Graham established the Graham Rahal Foundation which supported several local and national organizations. In 2019, we rebranded to the Graham & Courtney Rahal Foundation to highlight the collaborative efforts of both Graham and Courtney on their philanthropic mission. Since 2019, GCRF has donated over $1.5 million to our charitable partners, Turns For Troops / SoldierStrong and One Cure through our Drivers Tournament and Vino For Vets.
With every lap Graham completes during an NTT INDYCAR SERIES race in the No. 15 Rahal Letterman Lanigan car, United Rentals donates $50 to SoldierStrong through their Turns For Troops program. From the start of the program in 2016 through the 2023 season, Graham has helped raise $804,250 thanks to the generosity of United Rentals and their mission to give back to our military veterans.
The Graham and Courtney Rahal Foundation hosts two annual events - The Drivers Tournament powered by United Rentals and Vino For Vets powered by DEEM.
The Drivers Tournament is golf tournament held right at IMS at the Brickyard Crossing the Thursday prior to the Greatest Spectacle in Racing each year. Proceeds from this event benefit Turns For Troops / SoldierStrongs SoldierSuit (exoskeleton) and One Cure's Losartan trial research.
Vino For Vets is an exclusive weekend-long couples experience in Napa, filled with fine wine and great times! Proceeds from Vino For Vets benefit BraveMind, PTSD treatment through SoldierStrong.
Additionally, we accept general in-kind donations, occasionally sell merchandise, hold various drives, and form partnerships with local businesses to help support our efforts.
A simple donation can impact so many. At GCRF, we are dedicated to bettering the lives of our military veterans and finding a cure for cancer through research and trials in our furry friends. As a 501(c)3 organization all donations are 100% tax-deductible.
